Two moderate quakes rattle Batangas City

M5.0 and M4.4 quakes struck near Batangas City in the Philippines this morning. The region is at risk of strong shaking according to Temblor’s hazard model. The nearby 1994 M7.1 Mindoro quake caused widespread damage and a local tsunami.
