M 5.1 quake in NE Colombia

 

A M 5.1 quake struck NE Colombia tonight. This quake is likely another event in the “Bucaramanga nest,” one of the highest concentrations of intermediate depth seismicity in the world. Many attribute this activity to collision of two subducted plates.
