Yesterday’s M5.8 is the latest in a series of M5+ quakes to rattle greater #Tokyo since the beginning of the year. The long-term rate of M5+ quakes within 100 km of central Tokyo is about 5 per year; since January we’ve had 5 shocks, a pace of 14 per year.
