M 6.3 in Chile

 

A M 6.3 quake struck 40 km northwest of Ovalle, Chile this evening. The strong quake came on the heels of a M 6.8 shock that occurred last week farther to the north along the coast. One year ago, a M 6.8 quake shook the coast to the south.
