In this image, the Temblor Shaking Footprint, which is similar to a USGS ShakeMap, has been calculated for the region using a magnitude-6.8 source earthquake at 26 kilometers depth at the USGS epicenter (white star). Shaking is represented by the peak ground acceleration (PGA) in units of g, gravitational acceleration. The Temblor Shaking Footprint uses Temblor’s ground motion model (T-GMM) and site amplification model (SiteAmp). A broad basin lies to the north and contains the city of Marrakech.
