Currently recording seismic arrays (SWAN in pink and Lake Eyre Basin in cyan) designed to capture intra-plate earthquakes in two seismically active regions of Australia. These temporary networks are additionally supported by instrumentation in long-term operation from the Australian Seismometers in Schools (AuSiS) program (in orange) which provide real-time data and educational outreach within both cities and in rural communities (Australian National University, 2011).
