M 5.5 Ridgecrest aftershock

Today, the largest aftershock of the 2019 M7.1 Ridgecrest sequence since July 6 struck at the south end of the rupture zone. It’s likely a right-lateral strike-slip earthquake, perhaps with a left-lateral cross-fault, and adds stress to the Garlock Fault.
